Our department staff members and students conducted a complete survey work using Total
station instrument for a) Arulmigu Viswanatha Swamy Thirukovil, Sivakasi, b) Arulmigu Nintra Narayana
Perumal Thirukovil, Thiruthangal and c) Arulmigu Karunellinathar Swamy Thirukovil, Thiruthangal. Three
of our staff members Thiru. S.Vairamuthu, Thiru. D.Shanmuganathan and Thiru R.Ganesan along with
three of final year Civil Engineering students Selvan. S.Dhayananthan, Selvan.V. Sankara Narayanan and
Selvan. C.Muralidharan done this wonderful job during the month September 2020 and October 2020. A
master plan for each temple were prepared showing all existing structures in the temples, compound
wall and surrounding details with levels and dimensions. Principal and Temple officials appreciated the work.

We have organized a “National Level Technical Symposium” for Diploma in Civil Engineering students in association with Institution of Engineers and ISTE Students Chapter, on the topic “Employment Opportunities for Diploma Civil Engineers in India and Abroad”.
We have received thirteen (13) papers from various Polytechnic Colleges and nine (9) papers were selected for final presentation. On 18-02-2021, 2.00 pm, paper presentation was conducted through Google classroom. Dr. M.Nandakumar, Principal of our College delivered presidential address and appreciated the efforts taken by the students. Tmt. Y.Annelet Anbarasi, Principal, Ayya Nadar Janaki Ammal Polytechnic College, Sivakasi and Mr. R.Rajasekaran, HOD/Civil, AGPC were acted as Judges. All the participants performed well. During Corona pandemic period online quiz for Civil Engineering students was conducted on 16-07-2020. Forty eight students (48) from various polytechnic colleges were attended the quiz programme. E-certificates were sent to all participants with their score.

The Arulmigu Palaniandavar Polytechnic college, Palani, students T.PURUSHOTHAMAN and M.KANMANI SANTHIYA are the 3rd prize winners with the cash award of Rs 600/-.
