ISTE Students' Chapter
To make the students to be good learner and good performer, ISTE Students’ Chapter was established in the year 1996. The objectives include, training in co-operative learning, training in public speaking, organizing lectures by experts from industry, visits to industries, worksites and to promote leadership quality and personality development.
IE Students' Chapter
The objectives of Institution of Engineers (India) Student's Chapter are,
- To update the students knowledge and impart skills in the field of Technology.
- To promote continuing education.
- To motivate the students to participate in seminars, technical paper context and to develop their skills.
Under this chapter, we organize Model making contests, Technical Quiz contest, Engineer's day celebrations in our institute for the benefit of our students. The students are also encouraged to participate in the Technical contests organized by the other institutions. All the students except lateral entries are enrolled as chapter members.

Activities 2016 - 17
Important successful activities during the period June 2016 to March 2017:
- Selvan. A. Subash, III Year Mechanical Engineering received the ISTE Best Student Chapter Award for the period 2016 to 2017.
- Totally, we won 66 nos. of competitions during the period June 2016 to March 2017.
- Totally, we conducted 41 Technical Quiz contest to our students.
- We have conducted Annual Day Paper Presentation Contest and Model Making Contest on 03-02-2017.
- 6 of our students won II prize with cash award of Rs.1000/- each in the Essay Writing Contest organized by BRICS Generations and 7 of our students won III prize with cash award of Rs.500/-in the Essay Writing Contest organized by BRICS Generations.
- We received the Best Performance Award from BRICS Generations for Maximum Winning entries.
- We win a total sum of Rs.41,300/- as Cash Prize from various technical competitions conducted by other Polytechnic Colleges and Engineering Colleges.
