Best Performing Rotaract Club

The Rotaract Club of our College was awarded with “One of  the Best Performing Rotaract Club” by the Rotary International District – 3212 in the Awards Nite 2016 function held at Ganga Grandeur, Nagercoil  on 27.06.2016, Sunday. Out of 92 Rotaract Clubs in the Rotary District 3212, Ten colleges were selected for this award. The award is based on the annual report submitted by our club. The parent club, Rotary Club of Sivakasi, supported us in all our endeavours.

The Installation ceremony of Rotaract club for the year 2016-17
  The Installation Ceremony of the Rtr.R.Pravin as the President and his team of Office Bearers of the Rotaract Club of Arasan Ganesan Polytechnic College was held on 04.08.2016. Principal Thiru.M.Nandakumar  was the chief guest. Rtn.PHF.P.S.G.Selvarajan, President, Rotary Club of Sivakasi was the Guest of Honour. Rtn.K.Arunachalam installed the new office bearers. Our Principal remarked that Rotaract Club of AGPC had done so many projects in association with the parent club, The Rotary Club of Sivakasi.  He wished the new president all success in his endeavours.  Rtn.PHF.P.S.G.Selvarajan, President, Rotary club of Sivakasi appreciated the efforts of our Principal in giving free hand  for the Rotaractors and the Rotaract Staff In-charge  Thiru.S.V.Elangovan to do all the projects. He insisted that only social work will help one to satisfy him and his society. He wished all success to the newly elected office bearers. The newly elected president elect proclaimed that he and his team of office bearers will try to follow the footsteps our former Correspondent and the PDG.Shri.A.M.S.G.Vijayakumar’s to serve the society. Earlier Rtr.R.Vigneshwar welcomed the gathering and Rtr.B.Vignesh proposed vote of thanks.

The installation ceremony of the office bearers of the Rotaract Club of our Polytechnic was held on 17.07.2015, Friday. Our Principal Mr.M.Nandakumar, was the Chief Guest. Past President Rtr.M.Prathosh Kumar, our alumni, installed Rtr.A.Arun, III EEE as the President for the year 2015 – 2016. While addressing the gathering the Principal motivated the Rotaractors to involve themselves more in the service to the society. He insisted that Service should start from the home. He also urged the Rotaractors to come up with more innovative ideas so that they can serve the society in a better way. Rtr.A.Arun, the newly installed President assured the audience that he and his newly installed team of office bearers will put up the maximum effort for the betterment of the society. Earlier Rtr.M.Veerabahu, III EEE welcomed the gathering. Mr.Thomas Gnanadurai, HOD, Civil Department and Mr.D.Moses Daniel Prabakar, Department In-charge, Mechanical Department offered felicitations. Rtr.M.Mariappan proposed vote of thanks. Mr.S.V.Elangovan, Staff In-charge / Rotaract Club of AGPC made elaborate arrangements.

The installation ceremony of the office bearers of the Rotaract Club of our Polytechnic College was held on 21.07.2014, Monday, at CLAIR. Rtn.A.T.Murugesan, President, Rotary Club of Sivakasi installed Rtr.M.Prathosh Kumar as the President. While delivering the chief guest’s address, he explained the importance of involving in the social services by the Rotaractors and urges them to extend their maximum co-operation to the Rotarians for the upliftment of the society. Principal Thiru M.Nandakumar felicitated the new office bearers and remarked that Service to the Society should be the utmost goal of the Rotaractors. Earlier Rtr.H.Kadar Hussain welcomed the gathering. Staff In-charge of Rotaract Club of AGPC, Mr. S.V.Elangovan, introduced the chief guest to the gathering. Rtr.D.Vignesh Prabhu read out the Annual Report. Rtr.S.Saravana Prabhu proposed vote of thanks.

The Installation ceremony of office bearers of Rotaract club 2013-14 was conducted on 30.07.2013 at 4.00 pm at CLAIR. Staff Mr.G.Anantharajan welcomed the gathering. The annual report for the year 2012-13 was presented by Selvan S.Ashwin Gangadharan III year civil. Rotary club president Thiru.R.N.Sudharsan installed V.Rameshkumar, III year mech as president and his new team of office bearers. Acceptance speech was given by incoming president V.Rameshkumar and he introduced his team of office bearers. Rotarian Mr.R.N.Sudharsan, Mr.A.T.Murugesan, Mr.Jeyaprakash and our Principal Mr.M.Nandakumar felicitated new team of office bearers. I.Ahamed Sathik, III year ECE proposed vote of thanks.

The Installation ceremony of Rotaract club for the year 2012-13 was conducted on 26-07-2012 at 3.30 p.m. at CLAIR. Mr. K.Kannapiran I year HOD welcomed the gathering. Next annual report for the year 2011-12 was presented by K.Jeyaprakash, III year Mechanical Engineering. Rotarian President N.Baskaran installed V.Viswanathan, III year ECE as next President and his team of office bearers. New President V.Viswanathan gave the acceptance speech. Mr. N.Baskaran and Mr.Kamaraj felicitated the new team of office bearers. R.Tamilsudar, III year Civil gave the vote of the thanks. 



The Rotary Club of Sivakasi conducted Elocution competition on the topic “Ezhilmighu Sivakasi Karpanaiya? Saathiyama?” on 28.09.2012 two of our students had participated. Hanzira Banu, III year EEE won the special prize and received the cash prize of Rs.2,000/- 

Talent Show for the year 2012-13 
Talent Show for the year 2012-13 was conducted on Republic day as usual (26-1-2013). Student were enthusiastically participated in the competition. Events like solo song, treasure hunt, Dump charade etc. totally 11 events were conducted.. Third year students won the overall trophy with 41 points. Second place secured by second year students with 27 points. Thiru. K.Kannapiran HOD/Iyear coordinated the programme. Principal Mr.M.Nandhakumar distributed the prizes to the winner Mr.G.Anantharajan, Rotaract club incharge made elaborate arrangements.
